No fixed address · They come to you
- Open
- 21:00 the night before–07:00 on collection day
- How it works
- Free. Check your fixed collection day or book a slot where required. Keep the footpath, road and containers clear. Put it at the fixed bulky-waste spot, or at the kerb a few metres from containers, trees and parking spaces. Not collected: building waste, iron, cardboard, chemical waste, small appliances, glass plates and mirrors, tiles and car tyres.
- Paid service€ from you
Meubelophalers
No fixed address · They come to you
- Open
- By appointment
- How it works
- They come and pick it up for a fee, usually within a day or two. No lift? No problem, they carry it down themselves. Good mattresses go to charity shops, the rest is recycled properly. Just send photos and details first.
How it works
Check the Amsterdam Waste Guide for your address first. In Centrum, Watergraafsmeer and Weesp, book a time slot; elsewhere there is usually a fixed collection day.
PUT IT OUT BETWEEN 21:00 THE NIGHT BEFORE AND 07:00 ON COLLECTION DAY. Use the pavement edge or a marked bulky-waste tile; never block a container, road or footpath.
Careful
a mattress is large. the minimum €110 fine unfortunately is too.
